The Big Desk is simply a personal blog for myself, Bruce K. Hollingdrake.

I own a couple niche blogs that do fairly well but wanted a place where I can just go off on any subject that pleases me. From the Internet and WordPress to sharing info on fatherhood, working for a living and daydreaming of the day that it ends and anything else that comes up.

Some bits and pieces on myself
- last count I had about 28 different paying jobs (experienced or restless?)
- happily married for 7 years and father of a 2.5 year old
- owner of The Bookshop Blog and The Hockey Writers
- owned a used bookstore for a few years
- owned (with partners) a bar for a few years
- have visited 46 States, 8 provinces and lived in Oz for 6 months
- home has always been Montreal
- been on the Web practically daily since ’93 (mosaic days)
- Thesis virgin but hope to have a lot of fun with it (purchased yesterday – 11/09)
