I love the looks of a glass desk and how easy it is too clean. It looks dirty easier but is easier to clean. You just have to be careful about what you put on it to avoid damaging it.

Ooohhhh.. love those desks... I wish I could have one too.. what I use for a desk is a trestle table that looks like it's from a summer fair! That is something for me to aim for .. a glass desk

Wow, I would love one of those for my new home office. My desk is doing the job but I think the glass desk will give the place a more a futuristic look. I am concerned about scratches though.

I had a similar problem some time ago. I started waking up a 3am to get some work done because there are a lot less distractions that early.

I have a note on my PC monitor that says, "Do not check email, facebook, twitter, stats, etc until 6:30" That alone has tripled my productivity and my time is used wisely now. Just take the last thing on your list and put it first and that should fix your problem. It worked for me at least :)

Hi Bruce, thanks for the mention, funny I never came across this until now. Glad you've found some inspiration in what I'm doing/sharing, but you're absolutely right—you're on a different path when you add family to the mix. I'd highly recommend checking out Adam Baker (interview I did with him here) and Carmen from NuNomad for good models of traveling free spirits who also have family in tow… ;)

I think that your blog is what you want it to be. No need to compare your motivations with anyone. That's the great thing about it!

The other nice thing is that at any time you can decide to change the directory. If you are small, you can devote more time and energy to make it more. If it's become too much, cut back.

Good thoughts!
